In 2021, Friends of Salt Creek sponsored Summer Writing on the Creek. With generous support from the Tampa Bay Estuary Program, these open-air writing workshops met at the Bartlett Park pavilion (next to the Frank W. Pierce Center), every Friday monring through June and July.

The workshops were free and open to the public. Here’s what we were after:

  • Gathering inspiration on the creek. What do you see, hear, feel? What are we reminded of, inspired about, moved by?
  • Playing with technology, taking pictures, making short videos or audio recordings.
  • Sitting down together, creating something out of our field gathering!

Participating Writers in Residence were Sabrina Dalla Valle, Thomas Hallock, Geveryl Robinson, Saudade Toxosi.
